Kimberley is a science communicator based in Aotearoa, New Zealand. She has a background in ecology and conservation and is passionate about telling stories that help people to connect with New Zealand’s native wildlife and wild places.
Kimberley is particularly interested in using innovative digital media and is an internationally recognised expert on using social media to effectively communicate science with the general public.
Her passion for conservation has taken her around New Zealand and its offshore islands, as well as to Antarctica and the Subantarctic Islands. These trips have seen her work with a range of species, including kākā, kākāpō, and other endangered birds.
She now runs Fledge Media, a marketing and communication agency for sustainable brands who want to do good, take action, and make change.
